Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS)
From 1st July 2019, HOST International will be funded by the Australian Government through the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) – Community Capacity Building (CCB) programme to deliver capacity building services to emerging migrant communities in Adelaide, South Australia.
The objective of SETS is to empower new and emerging community groups and organisations to support their specific communities towards collectively increasing the social participation, economic and personal well-being of community members, and to ensure that positive settlement outcomes are sustained in the long term.
HOST International’s goal is to identify the core components of an effective settlement model through co-design and collaboration with key stakeholders. Through this funding HOST is committed to enabling former refugees and their communities to prosper through the power of their own ideas. To achieve this, we will establish an Incubator Hub for new and emerging communities which will assist them to diagnose and resource responses to practical and broader capacity needs within their community through a coaching approach.
