Emerging Communities Incubator

The objective of the HOST Emerging Communities Incubator is to empower new and emerging community groups and organisations to settle into the Australian community and way of life. The vision is for established community members to work with newcomers to resolve settlement barriers and to ensure an inclusive and welcoming community for all.

HOST International’s goal is to identify the core components of an effective settlement model through co-design and collaboration with key stakeholders. Through this funding from the Australian Department of Home Affairs, HOST is committed to enabling former refugees and their communities to prosper through the power of their own ideas. To achieve this, we bring various community stakeholders together to identify potential issues and to design proactive solutions. Just like a small business start up incubator, we will assist community groups to establish local networks, access resources and learn new skills required to effectively support their community and engage well with others. We will also support understanding of local resources and other services available.

The Emerging Communities Incubator supports communities in Adelaide and is funded by the Australian Government under the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Services funding.
